A 32 meters Oxy-hydrochlorination Reactor has been shipped from our sea front workshop in Ortona (Italy).

This item will be installed in the Shintech Vinyl Chloride Monomer (VCM) plant of Plaquemine, LA, USA.

The Vinyl Chloride Monomer is a compound used to produce PVC, the world’s third-most widely produced synthetic polymer of plastic.

This Oxy-hydrochlorination Reactor is the fifth one supplied in seven years by Walter Tosto to our customer Shin-Etsu Chemical Co. Ltd, the largest chemical company in Japan.

Manufacturing this particular type of reactor, which is the most critical component of the process, required high accuracy to respect the tight tolerances given.

We are proud for completing once again such a demanding project and above all to collaborate with an important company like Shin-Etsu, which we deeply thank for renewing its trust in Walter Tosto over the years.
