Energy. Presentation of the first component for the experimental reactor of the JT-60SA project
September 29, 2015. The first component of the experimental reactor of nuclear fusion JT60-SA was presented in Genoa, Italy at ASG Superconductors headquarter. This reactor represents a fundamental milestone supporting the Iter program, one of the biggest and most complex international projects on nuclear fusion.
The presentation of this component was held in the scope of the project’s Technical Coordination Meeting and it is the outcome of the collaboration among ENEA, the Italian agency appointed for the technical and economic coordination of the project, ASG Superconductors and Walter Tosto.
Great satisfaction was expressed by the president Walter Tosto and Vincenzo Giori, CEO of ASG, for the first successfully achieved goal, by respecting deadlines and requirements.
This achievement contributes to strengthen the partnership between the companies and to celebrate the made in Italy hi-tech record obtained in the scope of the Iter project, in which the Italian companies won 60% of the orders, with an economic value amounting at about 1 billion of euros.
