WOLF completed: the innovative project that optimizes logistics in the heavy boiler manufacturing sector

The WOLF (Workshop Overseas Learn Fabrication) project, aimed at transforming sustainable production and mobility in the heavy boiler industry, has been completed.

The core idea of WOLF is to create an “overseas workshop,” a mobile, modular, and intelligent factory that optimizes industry logistics by enabling the rapid setup of highly functional production facilities even in geographical areas with limitations on transport dimensions and weights. Instead of transporting individual manufactured items around the world, the production plant itself is relocated.

WOLF is the optimal choice for constructing critical process equipment in landlocked projects where the complexity of the equipment requires a fully equipped factory rather than a simple temporary cover. This production approach also meets the increasingly urgent demand from many End Users to ensure genuine Local Content with an effective transfer of technology to the region. Moreover, this innovative solution allows for the acceptance of previously impossible assignments due to logistical reasons, making transportation more sustainable both economically and environmentally.
The project, led by Walter Tosto in collaboration with partners Belleli Energy CPE and Asdea, was funded by the Sustainable Growth Fund – “Smart Factory” program. A recent technical visit by the Scientific Technical Expert of the Funding Entity confirmed the successful implementation of these cutting-edge solutions.
