Positive achievements for the New York Wheel manufacturing

The team of the Mammoet company, responsible for the design, manufacturing and installation of the New York Wheel, is visiting our workshop in Ortona together with an inspector from the New York City Building Code, in order to carry out an audit to all the companies involved in the manufacturing of components for such project. The purpose of the visit will be to assess that the manufacturing activities comply with all the requirements established for the specific type of equipment.

Mario Maresca, Quality Manager of Walter Tosto SpA said : “It’s exciting to show the level of quality achieved in the implementation and certification of our equipment and to receive positive feedbacks from external inspector as well as suggestions, which are very important for the continuous improvement we are aiming for“.

The inspectors appreciated the excellent work that Walter Tosto’s staff has done so far on the Primary Steel, as well as the expertise and competence noticed by the Quality Control Inspector and the Welding Inspector involved in the monitoring and control activities for this important project.
