Chieti, February 2nd, 2017. The Board of the AMW consortium composed by the companies Ansaldo, Mangiarotti, Walter Tosto and the Board of Fusion for Energy, the EU organization managing the European contribution of the project on nuclear fusion ITER, met at Walter Tosto SpA’s headquarters to discuss about the “Collaborative Project Focus Team“. This is an efficiency program of activities related to the ITER Vacuum Vessel manufacturing, which considers a centralized team of over 40 resources based in Chieti and a further reinforcement of the AMW consortium in order to increase productivity and stability of the project.

Fusion for Energy’s Director Johannes Schwemmer and the responsible of the machine, Jean March Filhol, expressed their appreciation during the tour at Walter Tosto’s facilities, where they viewed the advanced manufacturing stages of the Vacuum Vessel’s components.
