It will be made in Italy, the most important component, for its size and technological content complexity, of Iter, the currently underway experimental nuclear fusion reactor in the Cadarache site, in the southern France.
Today in Barcelona, Frank Briscoe, F4E director, the EU agency board which manages the european participation to the Iter project, will officially assign to the italian consortium composed by Ansaldo Nucleare, Mangiarotti and Walter Tosto, a 300 millions euros order for the supply of the so called vacuum vessel (composed by seven sectors of about 500 tons each) of the experimental reactor…
