The works relating to the construction of an innovative plant for the Blaze project (Biomass Low cost Advanced Zero Emission small-to-medium scale integrated gasifier fuel cell combined heat and power plant) are proceeding according to the timetable.

Blaze is a Horizon 2020 research project having as its ultimate goal the development of an innovative, efficient and flexible technology in terms of fuel for heat and energy production from biomass.

The project will integrate reliable technologies with proven performance: bubbling fluidised bed gasification, hot gas cleaning and conditioning, industrialised solide oxide fuel cells and off-gas recirculation.

Walter Tosto SpA, partner of the project, was entrusted with the design, integration, testing in real environment and socio-environmental analysis of the plant.

The project has now reached 50% of the total progress.
