Shipment of European ITER Vacuum Vessel Sector 4

Wednesday, 5 March 2025

Walter Tosto s.p.a, Ortona, Abruzzo, Italy

You are cordially invited to celebrate the shipment of Europe’s ITER Vacuum Vessel departing from the headquarters of Walter Tosto S.p.A. in Ortona, Abruzzo, Italy.

This milestone of significant importance, results from the collaboration between Fusion for Energy (F4E) with the AMW

consortium of Ansaldo Nucleare, Mangiarotti/Westinghouse, Walter Tosto, as part of Europe’s contribution to ITER — the world’s

largest fusion energy experiment.

Through this international project, seven parties representing half of the world’s population, and 80% of its

GDP, have joined forces to test the potential of fusion as part of a carbon-free energy mix for the future.

The vacuum vessel is the massive container that will house the fusion reaction. Europe’s second sector is

completed, and ready for shipment to the ITER site in France.

Join us together with a distinguished group of industry leaders, members of the technical team, and political

representatives to celebrate this important European achievement.

We kindly ask you to confirm your participation by registering at the link below by Friday, February 28, 2025.
