Workshop on Artificial Intelligence

We will be happy to talk about our experience in Machine Learning at the conference on Artificial Intelligence organized in collaboration with the University G. D’Annunzio and GDP Analytics that will be held on June 12 in Pescara (Italy).

Alex Di Fazio, Project Manager in the Information Systems area, will talk about an innovative software system entirely designed and developed by Walter Tosto SpA.

This application goes beyond industry 4.0, which mainly concerns industrial automation, digitalisation and interconnection of processes, but it can already be placed within an industry 5.0 context, in which processes, already digitalized, are integrated with artificial intelligence algorithms.

Tour in Walter Tosto for 110 technical institute students of Pescara

We had the pleasure to welcome the Mechanics and Mechatronics students of the technical Institute of Pescara also for this year.

On Saturday May 11th, the  4th and 5th year students and their teachers were accompanied in one of our most representative workshops in Chieti, by four members of our staff, Davide Quintiliani, head of the Welding Department, Giovanni Caporrella of the Research and Development Area, Luca Iezzi and Giuseppe Peluso, both from the Quality Control Department.

During the tour, the students asked several questions to Walter Tosto’ staff and were very impressed by the size of the machines and the workpieces.

Walter Tosto consolidates its success in China

Walter Tosto has recently obtained new and important acquisitions in China, concerning the supply of critical components for Chemical and Petrochemical plants.

The first order is related to the design and construction of Reactors and Heat Exchangers for a plant in the Shandong Province while the second supply agreement was signed for the manufacturing of Reactors and Heat Exchangers for the Fujian province, both in the east coast of China.

Among the most significant components to supply, there are two 3CG (stacked heat exchanger design), one for each order, weighing 400 tons and 600 tons respectively, considered  the most complex Heat Exchangers to fabricate.

The acquisition of these projects further consolidates Walter Tosto’s presence in China as a qualified supplier for the manufacturing of critical equipment for the Chemical and Petrochemical industry.
